Writerbay is one of the most established and respected online writing platforms in the industry. With a long-standing reputation for reliability and trust, it has earned the loyalty of countless writers over the years. As one of the pioneers of academic writing in Kenya, the company has a rich history of providing opportunities for writers to grow and excel. With a commitment to quality and safety, it continues to be a top choice for writers looking to build a successful career in the online writing industry.
How the Account Works
Writerbay is a bid account where support assigns work. However, there are levels that have the ability to take orders, such as those from the advanced level.
Levels and Ranking System
The levels and ranking system at Writerbay can be quite confusing, as the company has had different systems over the years. For example, accounts older than 2017 had up to 11 levels from Regular all the way to Pro level. However, those are rare to find and cost significantly higher to acquire.
In addition to the Kenyan profile Writerbay accounts, it is possible to acquire foreign profile writerbay accounts that have different levels and paths to career levels. These foreign profiles can either be ESL (English Second Language)- Mostly Asian profiles or ENL (English)- mostly UK and US profiles. These are often ranked from the Newcomer through to Pro level, with specific requirements to get promoted.
For purposes of this review, we will stick to the latest ranking system deployed for the Kenyan Writerbay accounts that you can easily find. Currently, the company has 6 levels: Beginner, Junior, Senior, Advanced, Regular, Pro Light, and Pro.
1. Beginner accounts are often new accounts that need to complete at least 50 orders before being promoted to Junior level. Accounts can also be demoted to this level for poor quality. The base CPP for beginner level is $2.5, and accounts at this level struggle to find regular workflow.
2. Junior accounts are promoted after completing at least 100 orders with an average rating of over 4.6 and overall satisfactory quality. Accounts at this level have slightly better CPP base rate of +5%, and stand a better chance of getting assigned work.
3. Senior accounts are promoted after completing at least 150 orders with an average rating of over 4.7 out of 5. Accounts at this level enjoy significantly more work and better CPP base rate of +10%.
4. Advanced accounts are promoted after completing at least 600 orders without any major issues, maintaining a rating over 4.8 and handling at least 100 pages per month, 20 urgent orders in a month, with no negative feedback in the last 2 months, while providing exceptional quality and exhibiting professionalism. Accounts at this level have the ability to take orders, unlike those below it, and can take up to 5 orders at a time. The base CPP rate for this level is +15%.
5. Pro Light accounts are promoted after completing at least 800 orders, with an average rating of over 4.85, handling at least 150 quality pages and 30 urgent orders monthly, no negative feedback in the last 2 months, while maintaining high quality standards and professionalism. These accounts can take up to 10 orders at a time, and have a CPP base rate of +20%.
6. Pro accounts are considered the best of the best at Writerbay. They have completed at least 1000 orders, with average rating over 4.85, handling at least 150 pages, and over 40 orders monthly, no negative feedback in the last 2 months, while maintaining high quality standards and professionalism. These accounts enjoy unlimited access to orders and can take up to 15 orders at a time, with a CPP base rate of +25%.
It’s worth noting that the company has been known to downgrade or promote accounts manually, and that promotions or demotions can happen at any time based on the performance of the writer.
Workflow
If you’re considering a Writerbay account, you can expect a generally positive experience in terms of workflow. Compared to other accounts in the same price range, Writerbay offers a reliable and efficient workflow throughout the year. However, there may be some fluctuations during the months of January and February, as well as July and August.
For our more experienced writers, such as those in the Advanced, Pro Light and Pro levels, the workflow remains stable even during off-peak seasons. These writers can rely on a steady stream of work and consistent pay. On the other hand, those at the beginner and junior levels may face more challenges during low seasons, but can still expect a decent workflow overall.
Overall, Writerbay is a good option for those looking for a reliable workflow and consistent pay. Keep in mind that the workflow may vary depending on your level and the time of year, but this is typical for most writing platforms.
Compensation (CPP) and Payments
Writerbay tends to have binding contracts with their writers in relation to how they work and how much they pay. The company has different CPP (cost per page) rates for each level of writers. The CPP for a Beginner level writer is $2.50, for a Junior level writer it is approximately $3.00, for Senior level writer is about $4, for an Advanced level writer it is around $4.5, for a Pro Light level writer it is $5.00, and for a Pro level writer it is approximately $5.5.
Regarding payment dates, Writerbay processes all payments between the 1st and 5th, and the 16th and 20th of every month. The minimum amount that can be paid out is $100, and you will only receive the money if your account balance exceeds this amount.
However, there is an exception for the first payout, where the limit for funds withdrawal is $50. In this case, you should submit your payment details 4 days prior to the beginning of the payout. This allows for a smooth and efficient payment process for all of our writers.
Writerbay offers a variety of payment methods including Paypal, Skrill, and Payoneer. However, for Kenyan accounts the most commonly used method is Payoneer, which is a secure and fast way to receive your earnings.
Support and Quality
Writerbay is known for having a dedicated support team that is available to help writers with any issues or questions they may have. They are generally lenient and are not overly involved in the day-to-day management of writers. However, if clients complain or dispute an order, support will almost always side with the client.
In terms of quality, Writerbay implements strict quality controls to ensure that all orders are completed to the highest standard. They use a system of warnings, demotions, and probations to address any issues that may arise. This system is designed to help writers improve their skills and maintain a high level of quality. As a result, Writerbay accounts are considered some of the safest and most stable accounts you can buy.
It’s worth noting that the company relies heavily on customer feedback when it comes to determining the quality of a writer’s work. This means that it’s important for writers to maintain a positive rating from clients in order to avoid demotions or probations. However, the demotions and promotions are manual, which means that there is room for human error and some writers have found it difficult to maintain a particular level despite their efforts.
Growth and Earning Potential
When it comes to growth and earning potential, Writerbay offers a good opportunity for writers to advance and earn more. The company has a clear path for career progression, with 6 levels to work through, each with its own set of requirements and pay rates.
It is important to keep in mind that these accounts take time, hard work, dedication, and sacrifice to become reliable earners. Starting out, it may take several months to complete the first 50 orders, especially during low seasons when workflow is slow. However, during peak seasons, the process may be shorter due to increased workflow and higher chances of getting assigned work. In order to increase the chances of getting assigned work, writers should be flexible with their schedule and willing to work both day and night shifts, and bid on all available orders, including urgent and lower-paying jobs.
It is only from the Junior level and above that writers should start considering the earning potential of a Writerbay account. At this level, writers can expect to earn around $500 per month, with earning potential increasing as they move up the levels. For instance, those at the Senior and higher levels can earn up to $1500 or even higher per month, depending on the effort they put in. Writers who are able to reach the Advanced level or higher can expect to earn a significant income, as they will have access to a large number of orders and will be able to take orders, while everyone else bids.
The cost of acquiring a Writerbay account can vary depending on the level, but they are generally considered to be expensive. The time it takes to earn back the investment also varies depending on the level of the account. For instance, a Beginner level account may take up to three months to break even, while a Senior level account, which is typically more expensive, may take only one or two months to recoup the investment. This is because higher level accounts offer better CPPs and more consistent work opportunities, allowing writers to start earning back their investment sooner.
Account Stability
Writerbay accounts are some of the safest and most stable accounts you can buy. This largesly explains why the accounts are quite popular with a large number of writers. The company has a reputation for trust and safety on matters of academic writing. However, it’s worth noting that the company can demote writers for poor performance and quality. Unlike other companies that automate the process, Writerbay uses a manual process, which can be more forgiving.
For those who are dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort, a Writerbay account can be a great investment. With a stable workflow and consistent pay, writers can build up their accounts and increase their earning potential over time. However, it’s important to keep in mind that this process takes time and effort, and not everyone will be able to achieve the same level of success.
OWC Tips
1. Be prepared to work around the clock, bidding on all orders that you are confident you can deliver quality work on. This includes bidding on urgent and lower-paying jobs, especially during the night, to increase your chances of getting assigned work.
2. Keep your clients happy by providing exceptional work and positive feedback. This is important for growth and advancement within Writerbay as the company heavily relies on customer feedback for promotions and demotions.
3. If you’re looking to start earning immediately, consider acquiring a Junior level account or higher. Beginner level accounts are best suited for those working on a budget and looking to slowly grow their account.
4. Foreign profile Writerbay accounts may offer a faster path to career progression and higher earning potential, but they also come with a higher risk of termination. Consider them only if you are comfortable with the risks involved. Be aware of the IP leak issues and as such it is advisable to RDP and premium VPNs to avoid account termination. For long-term aspirations and hope to own a Writerbay account stress-free, it is best to go for Kenyan profile.
5. If you’re working with a team of writers, Senior level or higher accounts are recommended as they offer better CPP and higher chances of getting assigned work.
6. Keep in mind that different levels of accounts cost different prices to acquire and have different earning potential, so consider your budget and earning goals before making a decision.
7. Be ready to put in the time and effort to grow your account, if acquiring lower level accounts. It may take a few months before you start seeing a return on your investment, but the earning potential increases as you progress through the levels.
